PHASE ONE

REACH OUT

In the first phase, we actively engage with youth in our community to build rapport and trust. By introducing ourselves and using showcasing the positive impact, TROY can have on their lives, we create meaningful connections and invite them to be part of our support network.

LIFT UP

We nurture our relationship with youth through growth and development programs, workshops, and activities.

SUCCESS VEHICLES

In the final phase, we help youth explore their passions and interests by connecting them with "Success Vehicles." These outlets, which include sports, hobbies, coding, leadership, and trades, empower young people to develop essential life skills and pursue their dreams, setting them on a path to a bright future.

HOW WE ADDRESS THE NEEDS OF OUR YOUTH

Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs is a theory that explains how individuals’ physiological and psychological needs must be met in order for them to achieve self-actualization, or their full potential. The hierarchy is represented as a pyramid, with the most basic needs at the bottom and more complex needs at the top.

Utilizing the hierarchy as a framework ensures that programs address the diverse needs of the youth we serve.

Physiological & Safety Needs: At the T.R.O.Y. Center, basic needs like food and shelter are addressed either directly or through community referrals, ensuring a foundational safe and stable environment for students.
Love, Belonging & Mentorship: The center fosters a sense of community, offering students opportunities for relationship-building and connection via mentorship and community service.
Esteem & Self-Actualization: By emphasizing academic and personal achievements, the T.R.O.Y. Center propels students towards self-esteem boosts and paves the way for them to reach their fullest potential.

MENTORSHIP

Our mentorship program is at the core of what we do. Our carefully selected and trained mentors provide young people with a positive role model and a source of stability, and help them develop the skills they need to succeed.
LIFE SKILLS DEVELOPMENT

Our life skills program provides practical training in areas such as financial literacy, conflict resolution, and goal setting. These skills will help young people succeed in both their personal and professional lives.
ACADEMIC SUPPORT

Our academic support program provides tutoring and support to help young people succeed in school. We understand the importance of academic success, and we are dedicated to helping young people reach their full potential.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Our program also encourages young people to get involved in their communities and make a positive impact. This helps to build a sense of purpose and gives young people the opportunity to give back and make a difference.
